There are some days where I feel like I’ve conquered the world and other days where I feel like I should give up. There are moments where I feel ashamed of my past and feel defeated by it. I come to realise that I am not proud of some of the things that I have done in my past, and what’s even worse is the enemy loves to use “Words” in a twisted way to get me to strengthen my resolve on how much I have stuffed up in life. Sayings like, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” would kill me. The good thing about knowing that God has saved you is that if you don’t like some aspects of the “tree” that you came from, you have been bought by God at a price to be transferred to another “tree”.

Every day is a new beginning. Every moment that you breathe is another chance to start new. Is this wishful thinking? No. Why? Because “This is the day that the Lord has made“. God made today and though we fail sometimes, he is the one who is ultimately in control. When I think of my past and then think about how far I’ve come since walking with God, I realise that although I have fallen at times, he has always offered me a brand new start. Sometimes I choose to walk a different path which distances me from the calling on my life, but he is always giving me a second chance to live for him. He is always offering me a “New Beginning”. That way no matter how hard I fall, I know I will always be able to get up and have another opportunity to take the right step.

Today is a New Beginning. The only thing that Ultimately has the power to sabotage your present and your future is you. You either choose Death or choose Life. Which will you choose?
